City of Brea Wins $652,000 Grant for Community-Wide Tracks Project

TPA congratulates the City of Brea (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $652,000 from the Regional Competitive Active Transportation Program (ATP) administered by the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG).

The proceeds from this grant will help fund the final segment of the Tracks at Brea Project, and will benefit the Brea community by linking active transportation users to key destinations, thereby decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing public health.

This grant award (one of several secured for this project) is a tribute to the leadership and staff of the City, led by Mayor Christine Marick, Mayor Pro Tem Cecilia Hupp, and Council Members Glenn Parker, Marty Simonoff, and Steven Vargas. We thank them for their support.

And kudos as well to TPA Senior Associate Cori Williams who helped make it happen.
