City of Palmdale Awarded $215,000 Grant for Backup Generators at Local Food Pantry

TPA congratulates the City of Palmdale (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $215,000 from the Public Safety Power Shutoff Grant Program administered by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.

The proceeds of this grant will be used to purchase and install backup generators at the Oasis Recreation Center and the South Antelope Valley Emergency Services (SAVES) Building. The City’s main objective is to ensure that SAVES remains operational in case of any emergency because it is the only local food pantry serving low-income individuals, working families, elderly, disabled, and homeless residents in the south Antelope Valley.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of City leadership to protect and promote the quality of life of its residents and the prosperity of its businesses.

Congratulations, Palmdale!
