City of Palmdale Awarded $361,243 for Tobacco Law Enforcement

TPA congratulates the City of Palmdale (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $361,243 from the Tobacco Law Enforcement Grant Program administered by the California Department of Justice.

The City will use these funds to continue their successful tobacco compliance program, which identifies and targets problematic tobacco retailers, conducts tobacco-related enforcement, initiates “shoulder tap” operations, and provides tobacco-related signage. The City’s main objective is to achieve conformity to state and local ordinances and to prevent the illegal sale of tobacco products, especially to youth.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of City leadership to protect and promote the quality of life for its residents and the prosperity of its businesses.
