Port of Los Angeles High School Receives $145,000 Grant for Career Technical Education

TPA congratulates the Port of Los Angeles High School (a TPA client) for being awarded a $145,000 grant from the Career Technical Incentive Grant Program, administered by the California Department of Education.

The proceeds from this grant will help fund the Port of Los Angeles High School’s maritime CTE program that was introduced in 2015 and includes three elective CTE pathways: geographic information systems (GIS), digital media, and boat operations.

This latest achievement is another example of the efforts by the leadership of the Port of Los Angeles High School to improve the quality of life for their students. It’s also a reflection of the dedication and hard work by TPA Associate Gary Rogers and TPA Associate Chelsea Vongehr to ensure a successful grant application.
