TPA Federal Advocacy Director Ben Goldeen Visits Merced County

Earlier this week, Federal Advocacy Director Ben Goldeen had the opportunity to witness firsthand the positive impact of his and TPA’s work in Merced County! In 2023, Ben collaborated with the Merced County Association of Governments to secure a $3.6 million federal earmark for the purchase of three new buses for the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS), enhancing connectivity between the Central Valley and Yosemite National Park.

Last spring, the new buses were delivered, and during a recent trip from Washington, DC to Merced, Ben had the chance to see them in action. These buses are already improving transportation access for residents and visitors alike, reinforcing the importance of federal advocacy in securing critical infrastructure investments for local communities!

County of Kern Secures $249,859

We are thrilled to announce that TPA has successfully secured $249,859 in competitive funding in partnership with the County of Kern, California through the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development Integration and Inclusion grant program!

This transformative funding will help to support a tailored program aimed at enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of immigrant residents and improving their quality of life.

At TPA, we are proud to champion initiatives that improve and strengthen California communities. This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the County to improve the quality of life for its citizens by protecting and serving them.

City of Millbrae Secures $180,000

We are thrilled to announce that TPA has successfully secured $180,000 in competitive funding in partnership with the City of Millbrae through the San Mateo County Transportation Authority’s Alternative Congestion Relief & Transportation Demand Management grant program (Cycle 2) for the Millbrae Shuttle Feasibility Study!

This funding will support the City’s efforts to encourage the use of sustainable transportation options and enhance mobility. The initiative will work toward ensuring that people’s trips are safe, reliable, and convenient while discouraging driving, managing congestion, and reducing vehicle miles traveled.

At TPA, we are proud to champion initiatives that improve and strengthen California communities. This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City to enhance the quality of life in its community, provide great services, encourage community engagement, foster economic growth, and embrace diversity.
