Townsend Public Affairs is excited to announce that Melissa Sfakianakis has joined our firm as an Administrative Associate in the TPA Southern California Office.
Melissa provides assistance with the day to day operations of the firm including business management, business development, office administration, and financial operations. Melissa’s array of responsibilities also include providing service and assistance to TPA’s team of state and federal advocates.

TPA congratulates the City of Tracy for being awarded a grant in the amount of $375,000 from the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Hiring Program administered by the U.S. Department of Justice.
This grant will enable the City to hire three new officers, who will contribute to the City’s successful community engagement efforts, such as Chatting with the Chief, Coffee with a Cop, and National Night Out. These new officers will be closely involved in Community Services Division of the police department.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City to pursue its mission to protect and promote the quality of life of its residents and the prosperity of its businesses.

TPA congratulates the City of Murrieta for being awarded a grant in the amount of $2,012,193 from the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
This grant will enable the City to hire six new employees for Murrieta Fire and Rescue’s new medic patrol program and ensure adequate fire department staffing levels.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City to pursue its mission to protect and promote the quality of life of its residents and the prosperity of its businesses.

TPA congratulates the City of Parlier for being awarded a grant in the amount of $254,247 from the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Hiring Program administered by the U.S. Department of Justice.
This grant will enable the City to hire one new officer to focus on school-based policing in Parlier Unified School District to address the high volume of calls from local schools requesting assistance. This position will strengthen the community and strengthen positive outcomes for Parlier youth, while also improving school safety.
