North Orange County Public Safety Collaborative Awarded $5,000,000 for Community Safety Efforts

TPA congratulates the North Orange County Public Safety Collaborative (a coalition of the Cities of Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Habra, Orange, Placentia, Stanton, La Palma, and Yorba Linda, and the County of Orange) for being awarded $5,000,000 in Community Project Funding through the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act to ensure that it is able to continue pursuing its mission to reduce youth violence and promote community safety.
The funding, secured by Representative Young Kim and Senator Alex Padilla, will further support the Collaborative’s efforts to reduce gang violence, strengthen crisis response and early action, confront homelessness, and provide supportive housing and reentry services. These services are critical to fostering a stronger community and this funding will enable the Collaborative to build on the significant success it has had over the past four years in Orange County.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the Collaborative to implement innovative and effective solutions to protect and promote the quality of life in the communities it serves.

TPA Again Ranks as Top 10 Lobbying Firm in California

Townsend Public Affairs is excited to announce that once again we have been ranked among the top ten lobbying firms registered in the State of California!
The Secretary of State officially reported TPA as the fourth (4th) largest advocacy firm in California, in terms of revenue received and reported for the final quarter of the 2021-2022 Legislative Session.
TPA is honored to provide legislative advocacy and grant writing services to public agencies and nonprofit organizations throughout the state. Over the past 25 years, we have worked diligently to shepherd over 100 legislative proposals into law and secure over $2.6 billion in competitive funds for our clients.
This achievement is a testament to TPA’s team of driven and hardworking advocates and grant writers, as well as our incredible clients. Congratulations to all!

Merced County Association of Governments Awarded $3,860,000 for YARTS Improvements

TPA congratulates the Merced County Association of Governments for being awarded $3,860,000 in Community Project Funding through the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act to replace and improve the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS) fleet.
The funding, secured by Representative Jim Costa, will enable MCAG to convert the YARTS fleet to clean diesel buses. These efforts to improve the transportation system, which provides equitable and sustainable transportation to Yosemite National Park for underserved communities, will greatly enhance the lives of all who live, work, and travel throughout the region.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of MCAG to work collaboratively to best serve the residents of Merced County.
