Guadalupe Union School District Awarded $50,000 Grant for After School Programs

TPA congratulates Guadalupe Union School District for being awarded a grant in the amount of $50,000 from the ASES Kids Code Grant Program, administered by the California Department of Education.

The proceeds of this grant will allow the District to provide after school programs focused on computer science education and technology to their students.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the District to provide each student with the academic, social, and technological skills that will assist them in becoming high school graduated, as well as, college and career ready.

Steven Sherry Joins Firm as Associate

Townsend Public Affairs is excited to announce that Steven Sherry has joined our firm as an Associate in the TPA Southern California Office.

Steven brings experience in local governance and grant writing to TPA. Working closely with the State Legislature, Steven monitors and analyzes the effect of legislation on TPA clients. Additionally, Steven works with our clients to advance their local, regional and statewide funding needs.

Prior to joining TPA, Steven graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. At UC Berkeley, Steven focused his studies on Environmental Economics and Policy as well as Middle Eastern Studies.

Outside of work, Steven is an avid reader of non-fiction and an aspiring home cook.
