City of Moreno Valley Awarded $16.8 Million Grant for Truck Safety and Efficiency Project

May 18, 2018

TPA congratulates the City of Moreno Valley (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $16.8 million from the Trade Corridor Enhancement Program administered by the California Transportation Commission.

The City will use these funds for the SoCal Freight Gateway: SR-60 Truck Safety and Efficiency Project – Phase 1A. This project addresses major freight mobility constraints along one of the nation’s busiest trade corridors – which carries goods moving through the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach as well as goods moving in and out of Mexico. Planned improvements along this corridor will support the safe and efficient movement of goods and people. In addition, the improvements to freight infrastructure will improve reliability, reducing cargo delays, and improve access to jobs.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City to transform their young City into a mature community that offers its residents and businesses an unsurpassed quality of life.

It is also a reflection of the dedication and hard work by TPA Senior Director Richard Harmon to ensure a successful grant application.

Congratulations Richard, and congratulations Moreno Valley!
