TPA congratulates the Desert Recreation District (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $3,080,000 from the Urban Greening Grant Program administered by the California Natural Resources Agency.
The proceeds from this grant will be used to fund the construction of the North Shore Community Park in the community of Mecca in Riverside County.
This latest achievement is an example of the commitment of District leadership to protect and promote the quality of life for all residents in its service area.
It’s also a reflection of the dedication and hard work by TPA Senior Associate Alex Gibbs to ensure a successful grant application.

TPA congratulates the City of South San Francisco (a TPA client) for being awarded a planning grant in the amount of $100,000 from the Pedestrian and Bicycle Program of the Transportation Development Act, funded by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and administered by the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County.
The proceeds from this grant will be used to create an updated and comprehensive Master Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan for the City.

TPA congratulates the Centralia Elementary School District (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $5,000 from the Barona Band of Mission Indians.
The proceeds from this grant will be used to purchase 30 new Chromebook computers for the students at Danbrook Elementary School.

TPA congratulates the City of Duarte (a TPA client) and the City of Irwindale for being awarded a planning grant in the amount of $60,000 from the Measure H Homelessness Initiative, administered by the County of Los Angeles in collaboration with Home For Good, a partnership of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
The cities will use the proceeds from this grant to jointly assess the impacts of homelessness in their communities, as well as develop a plan for their area that is compatible with regional efforts on homelessness by the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments and the County of Los Angeles.
