Jonathan Jackson Joins Firm as Senior Associate

Townsend Public Affairs is excited to announce that Jonathan Jackson has joined our firm as a Senior Associate in the TPA Federal Office.

Jonathan brings 10 years of federal government affairs and public policy experience to TPA. Jonathan’s experience includes shaping federal and state policy through analysis and drafting legislation. Although his expertise is rooted in transportation policy, he has also spent time addressing challenges in various areas including education, water resources, environmental hazards, agriculture, healthcare, defense, foreign affairs, and resources for veterans.

Prior to joining TPA, Jonathan worked in various roles in the US House of Representatives, the US Department of Transportation, the Executive Officer of the President, and in the California State Assembly. Jonathan graduated from American University where he received a Master of Public Administration and Policy and Morehouse College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

North Valley Regional Recycled Water Program Awarded Water & Environment Award of Merit

TPA congratulates the North Valley Regional Recycled Water Program (NVRRWP) for being awarded the Water and Environment Award of Merit at the Engineering News-Record California’s 2019 Regional Best Projects Awards.

NVRRWP is a collaborative partnership between the Cities of Modesto, Turlock, Ceres, the Del Puerto Water District, and Stanislaus County. The program is a regional solution for local water needs, providing a new source of water to agricultural customers.

This achievement highlights the commitment of program to protect and promote the quality of life of the residents and the prosperity of the businesses in the region.

City of Avalon Awarded $100,000 for Active Transportation Plan

TPA congratulates the City of Avalon for being awarded a grant in the amount of $100,000 from the Sustainable Communities Program, administered by the Southern California Council of Governments (SCAG).

The proceeds of this grant will go toward creating a master active transportation plan for the City.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City to protect and promote the quality of life of its residents and the prosperity of its businesses.
