TPA is honored that the Oakland Zoo (East Bay Zoological Society) has asked us to continue to provide state and federal legislative advocacy and grant funding services to protect and promote their agenda in Sacramento and Washington, DC.
TPA was proud to help the Oakland Zoo secure the passage of SB 1062 (Lara), which helps protect elephants from abuse. The legislation was signed by the Governor in September 2016 and now prohibits the use of bull hooks and other barbaric devices to train or control elephants.
We look forward to our ongoing collaboration with the Oakland Zoo to help transform their vision into legacy.
Thank you Oakland Zoo!
TPA congratulates the City of Dinuba (a TPA client) for being awarded two grants in the combined total amount of $508,162 from the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Program, administered by the Tulare County Association of Governments (TCAG).
The proceeds from these grants will be used to fund both the Dinuba Transit Bus Replacement Project and the Alta Avenue-El Monte Way Traffic Signal Synchronization Project, which seek to reduce carbon emissions, increase regional connectivity, and improve safety.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of City leadership to preserve and enhance the quality of life for all of its residents.
It’s also a reflection of the dedication and hard work by TPA Director Richard Harmon to ensure successful grant applications.
Congratulations, Dinuba!
