City of Aliso Viejo Breaks Ground on Dairy Fork Wetland and Habitat Restoration Project

Feb 27, 2016

TPA congratulates the City of Aliso Viejo (a TPA client) for breaking ground on their Dairy Fork Wetland and Habitat Restoration Project. The project was funded by a $568,100 grant the City received from the Measure M2 Environmental Cleanup Program administered by the Orange County Transportation Authority.

This regional project will treat runoff from Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods and Lake Forest before it enters the Aliso Creek. This includes the removal and mitigation of litter and debris, heavy metals, organic chemicals, and sediment.

The success of this project is a testament to the leadership of the City, led by Major Mike Munzing along with Vice Pro Tem Dave Harrington and Council Members Ross Chun, Bill Phillips, and Phil Tsunoda. And kudos to TPA Senior Associate Cori Williams for helping the City write and win the grant.
