TPA Client Success: City of Oakland Receives $1.85 Million Grant for Police Services

TPA is proud to announce that our long-time client, the City of Oakland, has been awarded a grant from the Community Oriented Police Services (COPS) Hiring program of the US Department of Justice in the amount of $1.85 million to hire 15 additional police officers to support their efforts in building trust through community engagement. Oakland will create “foot patrol beats” in high density areas of the City where there is a significant need to foster police-community relationships.

Congratulations to Mayor Libby Schaaf and Police Chief Sean Whent on their commitment to public safety in Oakland by reducing crime and serving the community through fair, quality policing!
