City of Parlier Awarded $254,247 for Community Oriented Policing

TPA congratulates the City of Parlier for being awarded a grant in the amount of $254,247 from the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Hiring Program administered by the U.S. Department of Justice.

This grant will enable the City to hire one new officer to focus on school-based policing in Parlier Unified School District to address the high volume of calls from local schools requesting assistance. This position will strengthen the community and strengthen positive outcomes for Parlier youth, while also improving school safety.

This latest achievement is another examples of the commitment of the City to pursue its mission to protect and promote the quality of life of its residents and the prosperity of its businesses.
