Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District

The District operates several recreation and park facilities in northern Sacramento county.

Central Unified School District Awarded $728,268 for Tobacco Related Enforcement

TPA congratulates Central Unified School District for being awarded a grant in the amount of $728,268 from the Proposition 56 Tobacco Grant Program, administered by the California Department of Justice, to reduce illegal sales of tobacco.

The proceeds of this grant will allow the District to hire a school resource officers to conduct outreach, and enforcement, as well as staff and parent training to improve the detection of tobacco devices and deter the use of tobacco products on school grounds.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the District to ensure every student engages in rigorous, relevant, standards-based instruction in every classroom, every day, to ensure student learning.

Guadalupe Union School District Awarded $254,638 For Tobacco Related Enforcement

TPA congratulates Guadalupe Union School District for being awarded a grant in the amount of $254,638 from the Proposition 56 Tobacco Grant Program, administered by the California Department of Justice, to reduce illegal sales of tobacco.

The proceeds of this grant will allow the District to install smoke and vapor detection devices and hire a school counselor to conduct outreach, enforcement, and staff training.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the District to provide each student with the academic, social, and technological skills that will assist them in becoming high school graduated, as well as, college and career ready.

City of Sanger Awarded $230,258 Grant for Tobacco-Related Enforcement

TPA congratulates the City of Sanger for being awarded a grant in the amount of $230,258 from the Proposition 56 Tobacco Grant Program, administered by the California Department of Justice, to reduce illegal sales of tobacco.

The proceeds of this grant will allow the Sanger Police Department to conduct staff training to improve their ability to recognize newer models of e-cigarettes and vaping devices as well as provide intervention services to students dependent on tobacco.

This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the Sanger Police Department to maintain their partnership with the community based upon communication, cooperation, and trust.
