Merced County Association of Governments
TPA President Christopher Townsend, TPA Federal Director James Peterson, and TPA Central California Director Richard Harmon, were in Washington, DC for a federal advocacy trip with the Merced County Association of Governments (a TPA client).
The delegation met with Senator Dianne Feinstein and Congressman Jim Costa, along with other Members of Congress, Presidential advisors, and federal agencies to seek support and funding for the priorities of the Merced region, including transportation, economic development, water, education, and homelessness.
The delegation included: MCAG Executive Director Marjie Kirn and Public Information Officer Stacie Dabbs, City of Gustine Mayor Dennis Brazil and Council Member Pat Nagy; City of Livingston Council Member Gurpal Samra and Council Member Alex McCabe; City of Merced Mayor Pro Tempore Josh Pedrozo and Council Member Mike Murphy; Merced County Supervisor Daron McDaniel and Management Analyst Mike North; Merced City School District Board Member Adam Cox, Board Member Jessica Kazakos, and Superintendent RoseMary Parga Duran; UC Merced Governmental Relations Executive Director Cori Lucero; Merced Boosters Club President David Melin; and Bill Lyons, Jr. of Mape’s Ranch/Lyons’ Investments.
