Hesperia Recreation and Park District Awarded $4,424,842 for Lime Street Park Renovations

TPA congratulates the Hesperia Recreation and Park District (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $4,424,842 from the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program administered by the California Department of Parks and Recreation.
The proceeds from this grant will be used to renovate Lime Street Park. Renovations include constructing two new baseball fields with lighting, a volleyball court, a splash pad, a walking path with exercise equipment, an open plaza, public art areas, parking lots, and lighting and landscaping throughout the park.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the District to protect and promote the quality of life for its residents.

City of Novato Awarded $331,035 for School Resource Officer

TPA congratulates the City of Novato (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $331,035 from the Tobacco Grant Program administered by the Department of Justice.
The proceeds from this grant will be used to fund a School Resource Officer for 24 months that will facilitate a robust tobacco prevention program geared towards raising awareness, prevention, and enforcement of illegal tobacco use by minors.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City of Novato leadership to protect and promote the quality of life of its residents and the prosperity of its businesses.

City of South San Francisco Awarded $240,601 for Tobacco Sales Compliance Initiatives

TPA congratulates The City of South San Francisco (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $240,601 from the Tobacco Grant Program administered by the Department of Justice.

The proceeds from this grant will be used to fund a multi-pronged approach to reduce illegal tobacco use by minors. The project will prevent illicit tobacco use through expansion of the existing tobacco retailer compliance operation currently underway in South San Francisco, as well as promote public education of recently passed state and local laws regarding tobacco use.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City of South San Francisco leadership to protect and promote the quality of life of its residents and the prosperity of its businesses.

County of Kern Awarded $6,515,000 for Lamont Park Renovations

TPA congratulates the County of Kern, California (a TPA client) for being awarded a grant in the amount of $6,515,000 from the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program administered by the California Department of Parks and Recreation.
The proceeds from this grant will be used to renovate Lamont Park in the City of Lamont. Renovations include constructing a new artificial turf soccer field, splash pad, open plaza, skatepark, three sports courts, two to five playgrounds with shade, exercise equipment with shade structure, obstacle/parkour course with shade, recreation center, three restrooms, and renovating an existing parking lot.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the County of Kern’s leadership to protect and promote the quality of life of its residents and the prosperity of its businesses.
