Last month, TPA had the privilege of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the City of Newport Beach’s Beach Trash Interceptor project! In 2024, we worked alongside then-Senator Dave Min, Assemblymember Diane Dixon, and the City to secure the final $1.6 million in funding needed to bring this project to life.
This groundbreaking initiative will significantly reduce trash entering Newport Bay, improving the health and environment of the entire region. We are proud to have played a role in making this vision become a reality and we can’t wait to see its lasting impact!
As Champions for Better Communities, TPA is always excited to share knowledge and support future leaders!
Senior Grants Associate Barbarah Torres recently spoke with political science students at San Diego Mesa College about Intergovernmental Cooperation and Conflict in Transportation and Environmental Policy: Following the Grant Money. She covered key federal policy updates, how they impact grant programs, and what that means for communities.
The students brought great questions, sparking a lively discussion about the future of policy and funding. We love seeing the next generation engaged and curious about making a difference!
We are thrilled to announce that TPA has successfully secured $565,895 in competitive funding in partnership with the City of Palmdale through the County of Los Angeles Interim Housing Services Fund grant program!
This transformative funding has supported the construction of the Palmdale Dream Village, a 20-unit crisis interim complex that will provide temporary housing for unhoused adults in a safe and supportive environment. When completed, the Dream Village will include community engagement teams; wrap-around, housing navigation and health and wellness services; case management; family reunification; and workforce development programs to help residents achieve their goals towards stability.
At TPA, we are proud to champion initiatives that improve and strengthen California communities. This latest achievement is another example of the City’s commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life by creating a safe and enjoyable living and working environment and focusing on innovative safety services, disaster preparedness, and effective communication.
Once again, congratulations, Palmdale, and thank you to everyone who contributed to this success!
We are thrilled to announce that TPA has successfully secured $250,000 in competitive funding in partnership with the Midway City Sanitary District through the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services‘ State and Local Cybersecurity grant program!

It will also support training and capacity-building for staff members to ensure that all systems are maintained according to the highest standards of cybersecurity best practices.
At TPA, we are proud to champion initiatives that improve and strengthen California communities. This latest achievement is another example of the District’s commitment to providing ethical, efficient, and cost-effective services while prioritizing the health and safety of those they serve.

We are thrilled to announce that TPA has successfully secured $250,000 in competitive funding in partnership with the City of Guadalupe through the Central Coast Community Energy‘s Electrify Your Fleet grant program!
This transformative funding will help fund a transit bus that is projected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 85 metric tons of CO2 annually, which is equivalent to taking 18 gas-powered passenger vehicles off the road each year. This effort will significantly help reduce transportation emissions and support the City’s commitment to sustainability.
At TPA, we proudly champion initiatives that improve and strengthen California communities. This latest achievement is another example of the City’s commitment to promote and protect a healthy and viable community.
Once again, congratulations, Guadalupe, and thank you to everyone involved in this success!
